ACJA Objectives
- To promote professional, academic, and public awareness of criminal justice issues.
- Improve criminal justice through educational activities.
- Provide a unified voice for professionals in, and students of criminal justice.
- Foster professionalism in law enforcement personnel and agencies.
- To encourage the establishment and expansion of higher education.
- Promote high standards of ethical conduct, professional training, and education in the criminal justice field.
ACA Mission
To help support the common goals of improving the profession of corrections and juvenile justice and enhancing the contributions of chapter members. To promote increased knowledge of the corrections and juvenile justice systems. To also support students at Virginia College and professionals through education, a speakers bureau, volunteerism, internships and networking.
